Meet Our Friends Dusty & Colonel |
Name: Dusty Breed: Cremello Birth Year: 1992 Gender: Mare Color: White w/no markings Horse Info: The horses that started it all - Dusty and Colonel were the first horses accepted to Circle P Sanctuary. These siblings have never been separated, thus they must be adopted together. Left behind by an owner who could no longer afford board, they had no where to go. When Philip and Lynne heard about their situation they sprang into action. Upon purchasing these siblings, Philip and Lynne provided all medical, farrier and boarding cost necessary at their current location. Finally, the Circle P Sanctuary was ready to open their gates and hearts to welcome the very first residents. Both have been ridden in the past but have not been under saddle in years. We have attempted to start Dusty back to work but she has not been sound enough for anything more than hand walking. Her soundness issues may prevent her from ever being rideable. She does not always like to be bothered, but will do most anything for a treat, including bowing. Dusty, with her white coat and blue eyes will dazzle you just like a unicorn. These two are a beautiful pair to behold and are very easy keepers. |

Colonel has started back with light lunge work and is doing well but may only be suitable for light riding. He has some soundness issues which will prevent him from more strenuous work. He has a great attitude and will do most anything for a treat, including bowing. These two are a beautiful pair to behold and are very easy keepers. |
