China is an appendix mare that is 15 years
old. She is a little over 15 hands. She has
cushings disease and take 1ml of
pergolide a day. She is a very sweet horse
that gets along well with other horses. She
use to give lessons to children. I have had
china since she was 2 years old. She has
always been a very sweet horse! She
probably won't be able ot be on a lot of
pasture. She is a cushings mare so she
needs to have a low starch diet. I"m in
Lexington, KY but have a trailer and could
bring her to a possible home. I'm willing to
purchase a bottle of medicine to go with
her which will last 60 days. Thank you for
all your help. Please feel free to email me
fore more information at

Hello, I'm trying to find a forever home for my
beloved horse Junior. He's 22 and because of
arthritis in his hocks he cannot carry a regular rider
anymore and should only have a very light rider on
his back probably no more than 30-50 lbs. if that. I
am about 250 lbs. so will never be able to ride him
anymore. This horse is very special to me and I
only want what's best for him. I have an ad online
for him but I think at this point I would feel better
if he went to a sanctuary instead of someone
running him down. I am definitely willing to help
sponsor him each month to help with his feeding
costs to make sure he goes to a safe good home.
Here is an in-depth summary of Junior's
background:
WELL FOR STARTERS HE IS A FAMOUS HORSE THAT
IS A PIECE OF AMERICAN HISTORY. HE LED THE
FUNERAL PROCESSION FOR THE WELL-KNOWN
MOTHER OF CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT, ROSA
PARKS IN DETROIT IN 2005. SHE IS IN ALL THE
HISTORY BOOKS, MUSEUMS AROUND THE
COUNTRY AND A GREAT PIECE OF HISTORY. HE IS
A 22 YR OLD BLACK TENNESSEE WALKER GELDING.
THIS HORSE HAS BEEN THERE AND DONE THAT.
HE'S DONE HUNDREDS OF EVENTS, INCLUDING
PARADES, COMMUNITY EVENTS, CHURCH EVENTS,
BIRTHDAY PARTYS AND THE LIST GOES ON. HE
DEFINATELY DOESNT LOOK HIS AGE AND IS VERY
HEALTHY EXCEPT FOR |TH|E ARTHRITIS THAT HAS
SET IN, WHICH IS THE REASON IM A TRYING TO
FIND HIM A FOREVER HOME. WITH MY WEIGHT I
AM NO LONGER ABLE TO RIDE HIM AND WITH
SOME HEALTH ISSUES OF MY OWN, OTHERWISE I
WOULD DEFINATELY NOT BE LETTING THIS
WONDERFUL HORSE GO. HE HAS NEVER EVER
COLICED OR FOUNDERED. HE IS UP TO DATE ON
SHOTS INCLUDING WEST NILE, WORMING AND
JUST HAD HIS TEETH FLOATED. HE HAS SHOES ON
FRONT ONLY BECAUSE BACK SHOES ARE NOT
ALLOWED ON HORSES AT BARN WHERE I BOARD.
HE IS NORMALLY SHOD ALL THE WAY AROUND
BECAUSE I DID MAINLY ROAD RIDING ON
ASHPHALT AND CONCRETE. I HAVE RIDDEN THIS
HORSE ALL OVER GROVE CITY IN THE CITY ON THE
STREETS AND ALL AROUND COLUMBUS THRU
NEIGHBORHOODS AND ALONG MAJOR STREETS. HE
ALSO HAS DONE MANY TRAIL RIDES AND WILL GO
ANYWHERE AND CROSS ANYTHING. THERE IS SO
MUCH ABOUT THIS HORSE THAT IM BOUND TO
FORGET SOMETHING.....ABSOLUTELY NO BAD
HABITS, NO BITE, BUCK, REAR, WILL NOT TAKE
OFF WITH YOU, PARKS OUT, RESPECTS YOUR
SPACE, CAN DO ANYTHING WITH HIM OR TO HIM
AND HE DOESNT CARE. WILL STAND BY HISSELF
WITH JUST A LEAD AROUND HIS NECK FOR A BATH
(YOU DONT EVEN HAVE TO HOLD HIM), GREAT FOR
FARRIER, GREAT TO LOAD, STANDS STILL FOR
GROOMING, GETS ALONG WITH OTHER HORSES,
SAFE SAFE SAFE FOR ANYONE, ESPECIALLY KIDS.
WE USED TO GIVE LESSONS TO KIDS WITH HIM
WHEN HE WAS A STALLION BECAUSE HE WAS THAT
CALM AND LAID BACK. I'M SURE I'M LEAVING SOME
THINGS OUT SO IF THERE SOMETHING SPECIFIC
PLEASE ASK. I DONT WANT HIM TO GO
SOMEWHERE WHERE HE WILL BE RODE HARD,
OVER EXTENDED OR RODE BY HEAVY RIDERS SO I
THINK A SANCTUARY WOULD BE THE BEST THING
FOR HIM. WELL I THINK IVE COVERED MOSTLY
EVERYTHING. HE STILL HAS MANY YEARS TO GIVE
SOMEONE ELSE AS MUCH JOY AS HE'S GIVEN TO ME
AND EVERYONE WHO'S MET HIM. I WILL NEVER BE
ABLE TO REPLACE THIS HORSE, EVERYONE SAYS
THAT. IF YOU HAVE ROOM FOR HIM AND COULD
OFFER HIM A GOOD LIFE, PLEASE CONTACT ME. IF
YOU CAN'T TAKE HIM AT THIS TIME, IF THERE IS
ANOTHER SANCTUARY THAT YOU COULD SUGGEST
TO ME, I WOULD APPRECIATE IT. MY # IS

Chica Wow Wow (Quarter horse)
Out of # 4628120 Zip Coosa Bama
(quarter horse) and # 4702635 Coulda
Been Awesome (a palomino world
champion halter horse.)
She is a registerable 4yo sorrel mare.
She has been shown in halter, and did
pony rides we think. She is 14.3 maybe.
Sweet. Ties and trailers and bathes and
great for farrier. Seems ouchy in the front
right, but not all the time. Had thrush and
that is starting to resolve.
Many people use these key words about
their horse and they are all
true for her. She enjoys people and new
situations. We trailered
her a lot to different farms with my horses
as a buddy horse and to
see how she would do.
Even though she is trainable, I am not sure she is trained. She was
fine with saddle - but really mouthed the bit. She let us lead my 13
year old daughter Arianne around on her with out any problem. So
lead rope pony ride type of thing works with her. I would not
consider her completely sound or bomb proof. She just has a really
great start and lots of good qualities for daily stables noise and
situations. Not much scares her. Since she is a rescue I do not
know everything about her, so she is buyer beware. She does not like
my other mare especially when in heat. I would be interested in trading
for a gelding that is trained and ridable, middle age or older. (any age is
fine, I love the older ages too).Call or text me 740-272-0612 - can deliver
her within reason, locally, central ohio, for gas fee enough to take her into
your home.
Looking for a Loving Home!
Baron is a beautiful registered Arabian gelding who needs a forever loving
home. He is in wonderful health. He is 15 hands high and 22 years old. He
loves people, is extremely curious but a bit lazy. He has been trained in
dressage. He is full of energy and at our age is too much for us to handle.
He needs an experienced rider. He is sorrel wth a white blaze.
We have pictures we would love to send.
Our goal is a great home for Baron. Please contact us via email at
roses4445@aol.com or phone 419-668-4588. Thank you , Susan Rose
Gunny's Story:
Hi My name is Lisa Mativi and I live in Granville Ohio. Several years ago (7) I adopted a racehorse from
New Vocations. I was looking for an eventer to show. What I got was a 7 year old off the track race
horse with bad knees and hocks. I had knee surgery done on him to remove bone chips and I had his
hocks injected several times. I could not keep him comfortable enough for full work. I found him a home
as a companion horse. He stayed there for 6 years. Last September the lady who kept him, her
daughter was in a car accident and she had to move to take care of her daughter. She found Gunny a
home and I had gone out to look at it. All looked well. In January I received a call from a friend telling
me he was being starved. I went out and picked him up and took him home. He was 350 pounds
underweight. He has since gained about 150-200 lbs. He has had his feet trimmed and his teeth
floated. He has been wormed and vaccinated. I do not have the time or the room at this time to keep
him. I am desperately looking for a home for him.. I do not want to euthanize. He is a 14 year old
thoroughbred gelding 16.3 hands. He is extremely quiet on the ground. You can do anything with him. A
child could handle him.Only issue is he doesn't like his ears messed with (he was ear twitched at the
starting gate) . He gets along with all horses in a field (mares and geldings), comes when called, and is
an easy keeper as far as thoroughbreds go. He was sold for 200k as a yearling in Kentucky and earned
over 5ook in his lifetime. He just needs a peaceful place to retire. He can be lightly ridden but he is not
for a new rider. Nothing bad just quick and a thoroughbred. If you can please help me find him a home.
614-286-4346 or lisa.mativi@midstate-sales.com . I can haul him anywhere. Always willing to take him
back if they can't feed him. No starving again. Thanks so much!!!!
A Portion of the proceeds from the sale
of Shelby will be donated to Circle P
Sanctuary, Inc. a non-profit 501(c)3
horse rescue.

Shelby is an 18 year old branded
Oldenburg mare. She also has lifetime
registrations with USDF and USEF. She has
been shown through second level and
schooled third and trained with several
Grand Prix dressage trainers, including
George Williams. Shelby scored well at the
rated level and has qualified and shown at
regional championships.
In addition to her dressage training, Shelby
has extensive Natural Horsemanship
training and rides Western, bareback, and in
a rope halter and lead rope.
She self loads and hauls like a dream and
does well in the pasture with mares or
geldings. She does not require any
maintenance and is barefoot. Her only
illnesses over the past 6 years has been an
abscess. She had extensive x-rays when I
purchased her and is current on all
vaccines, coggins, teeth, fecals/worming,
and hoof trimming. She has been back in
light work and is ready to go further.
Current owner just wants her to have a good
home where she will be loved and
appreciated. Price is $3500, but price is
negotiable for a good home.
